Lillian Axe - Poetic Justice

Lillian Axe – Poetic Justice
1992 I.R.S. Records / Grand Slamm Records
3 stars

Poetic Justice finds Lillian Axe stepping down to indie lable I.R.S. Records. This album is good but finds itself lacking that special something that made their previous album Love And War so great.

There are still moments of heavy metal big hair wonderfulness. Let’s start with the cover art of the less than amused grandmother with a battle axe in hand this may be one of the funniest album covers ever. Strong points are the songs True Believer, Living In The Grey, See You Someday, and gem of the album No Matter What. The rest of the album just isn’t strong enough to make it essential.
